Dear BCM 230:

This email pertains ONLY to those wishing to take the optional lab portion of the course. If you have no interest in the lab you need not read further.

The LAB portion of the course is intended to train those who will be consistent users of the NMR/MRI instrumentation for their research.

1) I am requesting that all those planning to attend the lab EMAIL ME back as soon as possible stating your general research interest for using NMR/MRI. This is basically to divide people into lab groups of similar interest, generally either:

Liquid solution spectroscopy

In vivo spectroscopy

solids spectroscopy

Imaging

I would appreciate your responses as quickly as possible to guarantee your place in the lab best suited to your planned work.

2) Those students wishing to take the lab should print and bring to class hard copy of the documents pertaining to the lab found on the course webpage:

3) For Lab students ONLY: a reminder that the optional lab portion of the course is separate from the lecture and a $330 fee is required, which can be paid from a UC account (preferably) or personal check to the UC Regents.
