Dear BCM 230 (those who took the lab),

Now that the course has come to a close I urge you to please not lose the time and effort you have invested this quarter. Your goal should be to begin your NMR project as soon as possible. Jeff Walton, Ping Yu, and myself are all available to help you make the transition from the simple samples used in the course to the real samples you need to run for your project. Please contact one or more of us if you need any help or have any questions about how to begin your research on the NMR instruments. Here is our contact info:

Jeff de Ropp: jsderopp@ucdavis.edu 752-7677

Jeff Walton: jhwalton@ucdavis.edu 752-7794

Dear BCM 230 (those taking the class for credit):

1) We will have a review session during the usual class time Friday (December 7), 12:10 to 1PM in the usual classroom. We can go over the problem sets and anything else you wish to have reviewed.

2) The Final Exam will be Tuesday December 11, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The final will be in-class, open-note. You may use any materials I gave you, but nothing else. You can use a calculator but no lap top computers are allowed.

3) Remember all class materials: emails, pdf files, and animations from the class are posted on the NMR Facility website. Take the link:

4) I have scheduled an extra office hour: Monday December 10, 3-4 PM, in addition to the usual office hour this Thursday.
